Canadian indie rock band PUP has announced their fifth album titled ‘Who Will Look After The Dogs?’

Toronto punk-rock band PUP is set to release their fifth studio album this Spring, on May 2nd via Little Dipper / Rise Records. Titled ‘Who Will Look After The Dogs?’, the album has been teased with the new single ‘Hallways’, which features a remarkably eccentric music video (take a look below). Lead vocalist Stefan Babcock noted that the album-making process was more fruitful than in the past—previously, he would take three years to write about a dozen songs, but he completed over 30 for ‘Who Will Look After The Dogs?’ in a much shorter timeframe. “In the past, I’d find comfort in another person, but this time I was doing it alone,” he recalls, reflecting on his self-isolation following the end of a long-term relationship. “Feeling bored and lonely, I just started writing music non-stop.” While Babcock typically uses his music as an emotional release, this record captures his introspection in a new way—according to promotional materials, it shows the singer finally “making peace with who I am.” Additionally, PUP will be performing a series of shows in the UK later this year; see the dates below.
