Little Simz to Oversee Meltdown Festival 2025

      She'll oversee the London event...

Little Simz will curate this year's Meltdown Festival.

This longstanding London event is hosted at the Southbank Centre, with past curators including David Bowie, Robert Wyatt, and Grace Jones.

For its 30th edition, Meltdown will be curated by Little Simz. The UK rapper has amassed numerous accolades, including a BRIT Award and the Mercury Music Prize.

As curator, Little Simz will manage the eleven-day festival. She shares her thoughts:

“I’m extremely excited to be the curator for the 2025 Meltdown Festival! My team and I are gearing up for eleven days filled with art, music, workshops, and more. So many amazing artists have taken on this role before, and I’m truly honored to join their ranks. Thank you to the Southbank Centre for this opportunity. Meltdown 2025 will be phenomenal—Simz style! I can't wait to see you there.”

Jane Beese, Head of Contemporary Music at the Southbank Centre, adds: “Little Simz’s knack for creating innovative genre-blending concepts and her aspiration to motivate the next generation of artists resonate with our artistic vision at the Southbank Centre. We’re tremendously excited to see her curated lineup and the impact of her artistry, leadership, and culture in uniting people during our 30th year.”

Last year, Chaka Khan served as curator, bringing an incredibly diverse array of talent to the Southbank Centre. Who will Little Simz select...?
