Johnny Marr has unveiled a very limited edition of hand-signed Gibson guitars.
As one of the most influential guitarists in British music history, Johnny Marr has maintained a lifelong passion for the instrument, even authoring a book on the topic.
Whether through The Smiths, Electronic, or his solo work in the 21st century, Johnny Marr has been a leading figure, skillfully combining technical ability with a love for beautiful melodies.
Now, Johnny Marr has announced a new limited edition of Gibson guitars. Only 20 of the hand-signed Gibson ’84 Les Paul Standard with Bigsby will be available, with all profits directed towards supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust charity.
Sales begin at 11am on February 21st – act fast, as these are expected to sell out quickly.
Johnny Marr states...
“These guitars are a faithful recreation of my cherished 1984 Gibson Les Paul, which I purchased in Manchester back in the day. It’s the guitar I have retained and used on numerous records since then, so I was extremely excited to see it brought back to life for Teenage Cancer Trust. It’s an incredible organization I’ve been associated with for around ten years. I feel honored to contribute to this worthy cause and I am very pleased to be involved, especially when it pertains to creating a fantastic Les Paul.”
