The vocalist took a moment to refocus as she worked on her highly anticipated debut album, spanning a significant period in her life.
Set to be released on February 28th, her album ‘Hope Handwritten’ is rich with personal revelations. The new track ‘Magic Or Medicine’ serves as the final piece, rooted in her own mental health experiences.
Described as a song about enduring hardships, ‘Magic Or Medicine’ also emphasizes the potential for healing – it’s portrayed as “an honest conversation,” with Hope Tala expressing a desire to seek positivity.
She shared her thoughts...
"‘Magic or Medicine’ was the final piece of the puzzle for ‘Hope Handwritten’ – the last song I created for the album. This track is fundamentally an honest dialogue I'm having with myself regarding the mental health challenges I faced while creating the album. While it addresses struggle, like much of the record, it’s underpinned by hope."
