London-based French singer-songwriter Léa Sen is set to release her debut album, ‘LEVELS’, on May 30th through Partison Records.
The album, teased with the heartfelt single ‘lvl 1 – HOME ALONE’, navigates dreamlike abstract concepts and deeply personal introspection, envisioning a mystical hotel where each room signifies a different stage of the artist’s life and experiences.
With the announcement of the album, the singer presents her new single ‘lvl 6 – VIDEO GAMES’ – a blend of ethereal guitar sounds, subdued vocals, and contemplative musings. Léa Sen shares:
“‘Video Games’ offers a glimpse into how my past continues to influence me, whether I embrace it or not. It’s a dance between memory and routine, juxtaposing the world I perceived as a child with the one I see today. Some memories fade, others remain, and some you simply learn to navigate. The song delves into both comfort and trepidation—how the past can be a burden, yet also a source of joy.”
In 2019, following a personal tragedy, Léa moved from Paris to London alone. A daunting yet rewarding choice, by 2021 she became a sought-after collaborator with numerous well-known UK musicians. She contributed to Joy Orbison’s prominent track ‘better’ and has worked with artists such as Sampha and Vegyn, all while developing her own artistry through her solo EPs, ‘You of Now’ parts 1 & 2.
Additionally, Léa Sen has announced a headline concert on May 29th at St. Pancras Old Church in London, the night before her album launches. Tickets will be available this Friday at 10 am.
