      Witch Post - The Wolf

The dynamic duo Witch Post has released their latest single, ‘The Wolf’, a captivating preview of their forthcoming debut EP, ‘The Beast’. Created by Alaska Reid and Dylan Fraser, Witch Post is gaining attention with their undeniable charisma, and this new track exemplifies that, taking listeners into a nightmarish dreamscape filled with transformative, wild intensity. Reid and Fraser’s lyrical back-and-forth—imbued with a dreamlike quality and smoky lushness, respectively—flows over sharp, searing guitar and punchy percussion, creating a raw spin under the twilight. With a mesmerizing sound that haunts and inspires, their synergy and skill promise a debut well worth anticipating. (Kayla Sandiford)

      Rosie Alena - Billboards

Opening with soft vocals against an eerie backdrop, Rosie Alena's 'Billboards'—taken from her new EP 'Everyman'—immediately captivates as a hauntingly beautiful exploration of a spectral relationship. Gradually incorporating more electronic elements before building into a powerful chorus, this track showcases her growth as both a singer and songwriter, capturing the intimacy and immediacy reminiscent of music's greatest narrators. (Chris Connor)

      L'objectif - Burbank

Leeds quartet L'objectif continues their rise with 'Burbank', an energetic new track following January’s 'Goth Kids' as the second release in a trilogy. Addressing the disillusionment of a character pursuing fame in America, their latest venture navigates themes of identity, addiction, and ego, all enveloped in the band’s signature alt-rock flair. With a debut album in progress, 'Burbank' marks another exhilarating step forward, affirming L’objectif as a group ready to adapt while remaining true to their dynamic, storytelling-inspired songwriting. (Gemma Cockrell)

      MOULD - FRANCES

Delivering a surprise release mid-week, Bristol art-punk group MOULD creates chaos with their latest single, ‘FRANCES’, another taste of their impending sophomore EP, ‘Almost Feels Like Purpose’. In this track, lead vocalist Joe Sherrin battles frustration and, allegedly, “the ironic ghost of a killer bird named Frances.” Whether it's a metaphor or if he genuinely encountered an avian poltergeist remains unclear; what is undeniable is the band's musicianship as they pack multiple expressive concepts into a compact, sub-three-minute track that allows listeners just enough time to appreciate their ferocious technical skill. (Peter Martin)

      Keo - I Lied, Amber

Generating buzz both online and offline, Keo's first studio single has finally been released via AWAL. A powerful punch both musically and emotionally, ‘I Lied, Amber’ combines the sounds of iconic grunge artists with a contemporary approach. The song recounts the story of trust issues arising in a relationship—a complex emotional turmoil that vocalist Finn Keogh poignantly conveys with his passionate and resonant upper range. Though they are newcomers, Keo's debut single makes a remarkable first impression; it's a declaration of the high peaks the band is ready to conquer. (Peter Martin)

      Speedial - Tourist

A tense and tightly wound piece, Speedial's latest single 'Tourist' showcases the London quartet at their most raw and unfiltered, blending intricate instrumental dynamics with stark, confessional lyrics. Here, vocalist and guitarist Serena Garrod channels an "exaggerated 'evil' version of [herself]" in an emotional expression of guilt and distorted self-image, stripping back the band’s typical poetic ambiguity to expose its themes with brutal, candid honesty. Produced by Joseph Futak (Tapir!, lilo), this single encapsulates Speedial’s unique mix of post-rock, shoegaze, and math rock, drawing inspiration from diverse artists like Deerhoof, Big Thief, and Bowie’s Blackstar. Harmonies from Garrod and vocalist/bassist Millie Kirby soar over Monarch Vavrechka’s expressive saxophone and drummer Joe William Killick’s dynamic rhythms, crafting a sound that is intricate yet urgent. Overall, 'Tourist' provides insight into Speedial’s developing artistry—introspective, multifaceted, and, as always, genre-defying. (Gemma Cockrell)

      pencil - Silent Corners

Announcing their long-awaited debut EP, 'Bohemian Clutter', set for release in May, pencil's new single showcases their most compelling recorded work yet. Grand and epic, yet imbued with a poetic depth reminiscent of finishing a
