Listen to the new single, 'Daydream'.
London-based artist Natanya is set to release her upcoming EP ‘Feline’s Return’ on June 27th through Human Re-Sources.
This follows her debut EP ‘Sorrow At Sunrise’, which came out in 2023 and explored themes of growing pains through personal lyricism, along with last year's standalone nostalgic single ‘Boombox’. Natanya is now shifting gears once more with a release that leans towards pop.
The new single ‘Daydream’ fuses alt-rock production with smooth vocal melodies, uncovering another facet of Natanya’s artistic expression. The song navigates feelings of anxiety and uncertainty, leading to moments of clarity as Natanya illustrates the contrasts between her private and public identities.
As she describes it, the track addresses “the fear of sharing yourself with the world.”
Hailing from North West London, Natanya immersed herself in music early on, starting classical piano lessons at just four years old. As a teenager, she spent weekends at the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy, where she composed her first songs. Influenced by artists like Janet Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Paramore, and Stevie Wonder, she began creating beats with friends during that time.
This journey ultimately led to Natanya’s reflective debut project, which she developed in her first year studying English Literature at University College London. She has since toured with Destin Conrad on his European tour last year.
