Glasgow-based jazz ensemble Azamiah is set to release their new EP titled ‘Two Lands’.
Though located in Glasgow, the group has a global influence; originating from the city’s southside, Azamiah explores the connection between the individual and the community, as well as the interaction between urban settings and natural landscapes.
Their debut album ‘In Phases’ received significant acclaim upon its release. After quietly releasing a few singles at the beginning of this year, Azamiah is now ready to make a significant leap forward with their upcoming EP.
Scheduled for release on June 3rd through Floating World Records, ‘Two Lands’ will be accessible both digitally and on 12-inch vinyl.
The band will showcase their new material at a special performance at London’s Jazz Cafe on April 11th, followed by their appearance at The Great Escape in Brighton next month.
The title track, ‘Two Lands’, is available online now – featuring India Blue’s vocals that express a sense of spiritual longing, while the group’s sound blends the freedom of jazz with the immersive, physical aspects of club culture.
The song is inspired by a period of isolation – Azamiah rented a cottage in rural Suffolk to start creating new material, with ‘Two Lands’ reflecting this pastoral creativity.
“It embodies that moment. It felt significant for this period of making music,” Indie Blue explains. “I’m never truly separate from nature, as I am part of it, and I always have access to that. This song describes going into a natural setting, planting seeds in fertile land, and allowing nature to take its course.”

The track follows closely behind the trio’s latest single ‘Relationships’.
With its catchy basslines, energetic riffs, and pulsating synths reminiscent of strobe lights, 'Obsession' encapsulates the essence of THE DRIVER ERA, who are making their return this month.
Her debut LP, aptly named, is set to release in July.
