Death Grips Refute Claims of a Breakup

      The influential industrial hip-hop collective Death Grips has refuted claims of their breakup.

      Death Grips has always embraced mystery and deception, making it hard to discern the truth about them. Since the release of their album ‘Year of the Snitch’ in 2018, they have been relatively low-profile, with their most recent performance being at Austin City Limits in 2023.

      Recently, a series of leaked messages from band member Andy Morin suggested that MC Ride, the group’s lyricist, “doesn’t want to do any more,” which seemed to indicate that Death Grips were finished.

      However, Morin was quick to clarify that “none of us can ever predict what will happen with the group.”

      In fact, Death Grips are not finished just yet. Members Stefan Burnett (MC Ride) and Zach Hill released a statement affirming their continued activity as a band, declaring: “We remain active as Death Grips...”

      Is new music on the horizon? Only time will tell.
