Having recently revealed details about their upcoming fourth album, the versatile artist yeule has now shared the title track, ‘Evangelic Girl Is A Gun’ - an energetic electroclash piece that amplifies their distinct dark-tinged dance sound. This single follows ‘Eko’ and the closer ‘Skullcrusher,’ providing the third glimpse of what to anticipate from the new LP, set for release on May 30 via Ninja Tune, which serves as a follow-up to 2023's ‘softscars.’ Yeule describes the track as “an angelic blade of a dance beat” featuring “dual bpm switch ups [and] nostalgic synth patches” that together evoke the feel of early 2010s electronica. Furthermore, the multifaceted artist, known as Nat Ćmiel, shared: “In the light of love and obsession lies the silhouette of a shadow diluted with the playful flirting of synths and drum patterns, but this time with a sexy silhouette of a shadow. Returning to experimental dark techno, while blending it with modern trends that I refer to as ‘trip club.’ Eternal light, eternal love, depth of the heart with a shallow facade. Diluting the vanta black blood that boils on rotting flesh.” You can watch the official video for ‘Evangelic Girl Is A Gun,’ co-directed by yeule and Neil Krug, below.
