Finn Wolfhard has released his new track ‘Trailers after dark’.
The actor has always had a deep passion for music, with his endeavors including Calpurnia and The Aubreys, as well as his current solo journey.
The upcoming album ‘Happy Birthday’, set to release on June 6th, is a result of a challenge he took on in 2022 to write 50 songs, essentially creating one song each week. Encouraged by this, he narrowed it down to nine tracks and began to concentrate on a solo album.
The new release, ‘Trailers after dark’, is an emotional indie ballad, characterized by its heartfelt songwriting and a deliberately raw, lo-fi production.
By embracing imperfections, Finn’s style on this song enhances its authenticity, highlighted by the heartfelt plea – “Oh my darling, don’t stop loving me.”
With echoes of Silver Jews and early The Shins, this song offers a compelling glimpse into an album that explores themes of “identity, anxieties, nostalgia, childhood, and loneliness.”
