A classic album reimagined...
British producer Vegyn has reinterpreted Air’s legendary album ‘Moon Safari.’
This album positioned the French duo – Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel – squarely in the spotlight of pop culture, with their laid-back Gallic charm leading a flourishing period for the country’s electronic music scene.
Last year, Air took ‘Moon Safari’ on tour, revisiting the album while transforming it into an immersive and innovative live experience.
Vegyn – the British producer and electronic artist Joe Thornalley – has contributed a remix of the album, with ‘Blue Moon Safari’ set for a limited vinyl release on Record Store Day (April 12th).
This release is part of a two-part initiative from Air, who will also unveil ‘Moon Safari Live & Demos’ on the same day.
Available now on streaming platforms, ‘Blue Moon Safari’ offers a unique perspective on the original material – remixes played a significant role in the context of the album, and Vegyn has tapped into the potential within the songwriting and production.
An engaging endeavor that holds its own, ‘Blue Moon Safari’ is currently available digitally.
