Coming this summer is 'black british music'.
On April 11, 2025, London artist Jim Legxacy continues to distinguish himself as a melodic singer-rapper with the release of his new single ‘stick’ through XL Recordings.
Building on the success of his earlier single ‘father’ from this year, Jim Legxacy previewed ‘stick’ during a recent livestream with Plaqueboymax alongside emerging rappers YT, Fimiguerrero, and Len. He showcases his lyrical skill and unique style, weaving autobiographical elements with upbeat chipmunk harmonies and UK slang, effectively blending underground energy with mainstream appeal.
Jim's vibrant sound was first highlighted in his 2023 mixtape ‘Homeless N*gga Pop Music’, followed by last year’s ‘nothings changed (!)’, a poignant homage to his sister’s life and legacy.
He hinted at his upcoming mixtape ‘black british music’ with the track ‘aggressive’, his debut release on XL Recordings. The single ‘father’ further developed Jim’s artistic style, accompanied by a video from Lauzza, setting the stage for ‘stick’, which is released alongside another polished visual from Rohan Dil, filmed partly on a Blackberry.
