London-based composer Nadav Scheerson makes his entrance with the new album ‘Sheva’.
At just 25 years old, this talented musician has become a key figure in the London jazz scene. A recognized composer, collaborator, and arranger, his music fuses club sounds, post-bop artistry, and elements of Middle Eastern heritage.
Released now, ‘Sheva’ features pieces created when he was just a teenager, making this truly a coming-of-age project.
Supported by an exceptional band, the album transitions from catchy bass lines to beautiful soundscapes, all unified by a strong sense of direction.
There is also a spiritual element present – it features a seven-member band, includes seven tracks, and celebrates seven years since he commenced his journey as a band leader. ‘Sheva’ translates to seven in Hebrew – a sacred figure imbued with numerous symbolic interpretations.
