On April 14, 2025, North Carolina artist chlothegod has unveiled an expanded version of her praised sophomore EP, ‘I Feel Different Every Day’, released through EQT.
CLASH included chlothegod in their Ones to Watch 2025 list, highlighting the now LA-based singer-rapper who first gained attention with her 2023 EP ‘Nearly Straight’. With a textured voice that breathes life into honest lyrics, chlothegod captured the complexities of one's twenties in her follow-up project ‘I Feel Different Every Day’, addressing issues such as relationships on the verge of breakdown and the realizations that accompany self-discovery.
The deluxe edition includes four additional tracks that navigate through folky daydreams and garage rock adventures. Regarding this expansion marking a period that led to a headline tour and a supporting role for Orion Sun this May, chlo comments: “For the ‘IFDED’ deluxe, I aimed to plainly articulate that the emotional rollercoaster is concluding and ultimately facing the pain directly.”
“It allowed me to create space in both the music and within myself, recognizing how my heart has been fractured and the hurt I’ve also caused. I'm familiar with acknowledging my own flaws, and while reverting to old habits is not a lasting solution, a song like ‘I Think I’ offers me some well-deserved retribution.”
