On April 14, 2025, Kent alt-soul artist Tia Gordon has unveiled her new EP, ‘wait! I have something to say. x’.
Tia made her entrance in the music scene with the reflective ‘with love x’ EP, a collection of tracks addressing heartbreak. Her music is emotionally open, combining jazz-like finesse with insightful lyrics, offering a quietly intense experience.
The new EP ‘wait! I have something to say. x’ provides Tia with a means to move beyond those emotions, featuring songs where she takes back control of her feelings.
The lead single, ‘i’m not mad’, serves as a bold introduction, showcasing her smooth, caramel-like sound with an edge. “I’m not mad about it, I’m not even mad about it, it was your mistake to make, so let us go our separate ways,” she sings.
Now fully released, the EP aims for catharsis, allowing Tia Gordon to truly express herself, connect with nature, and enjoy some refreshing air.
She remarks...
“I felt much lighter and was able to sing about so much more than just that overwhelming sadness. This EP feels meaningful and strong, but parts of it are sassy. I discuss my heritage, my dad, disrespect, euphoric love; there's so much I address. This EP took a long time to come together, evolving through many versions. I swapped songs out, reworked tracks; I thought it was finished last year, but I was mistaken, and many songs I intended for it didn’t end up making the final cut.”
