Blondshell has unveiled her latest track ‘Event Of A Fire’.
The artist’s upcoming album ‘If You Asked For A Picture’ is set to drop on May 2nd, marking a collaboration with producer Yves Rothman once again.
The song ‘Event Of A Fire’ serves as the final teaser from the album, and it documents the hectic touring phase that followed her debut.
Crafted during a period of fatigue while on the road, ‘Event Of A Fire’ draws from her personal experiences – she began writing it after a true 4 a.m. evacuation due to a hotel fire near Boston.
Opening with a gentle guitar arpeggio, it progresses into a haunting, expressive vocal.
“It’s not really about ‘what if I’m worn out from touring,’” the songwriter explains. “It’s more like, ‘what if I’m worn out from simply existing?’”
The video for ‘Event Of A Fire’ features rising French actress Ghjuvanna Benedetti and is directed by Emilé Moutaud.
