Kae Tempest Reveals Upcoming Album ‘Self Titled’

      30 · 04 · 2025

Kae Tempest is set to release a new album titled ‘Self Titled’ on July 4th.

The South London wordsmith is an influential figure, with Kae Tempest marking their return with a powerful headline performance at Manchester’s Radio 6 Music Festival.

The upcoming album ‘Self Titled’ will be available on July 4th. Kae collaborated with Fraser T Smith on the production, and features contributions from notable artists such as Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys, Connie Constance, and Young Fathers.

The first single from the album, ‘Statue In The Square’, was released in March, and Kae Tempest continues their narrative with the new track ‘Know Yourself’.

Lyrical, intellectual, and emotionally resonant, ‘Know Yourself’ serves as a self-referential piece of autobiography.

      Kae states…

“I’m really fond of this song. It incorporates a lyric I wrote years ago, where my younger self has a conversation with their younger self. It’s a dialogue between different selves across time, in real time. Or perhaps I could express that more simply – When I was younger, I sought guidance from my older self. I entered my own mind and told myself to know myself.”

Tracklisting: I Stand On The Line, Statue In The Square, Know Yourself, Sunshine On Catford, Bless The Bold Future, Everything All Together, Prayers To Whisper, Diagnoses, Hyperdistillation, Forever, Breathe, Till Morning
