Kean Kavanagh Reveals Debut Album ‘The County Star’

      30 · 04 · 2025

Irish artist Kean Kavanagh has announced his debut album titled ‘The County Star’.

This versatile artist marked his return this month, signaling a fresh chapter in his artistic journey. In his upcoming debut LP, Kean Kavanagh intertwines fact with fiction and tradition with modernity.

Scheduled for release on June 6th through the new label Heaven-Sent, ‘The County Star’ delves into themes of Irish identity, with lyrics that reflect an observational style, combining rich world-building with personal insights.

The new single ‘A Cowboy Song’ is a poignant track, featuring a slightly surreal vibe paired with Kean’s expressive vocals.

The music video is part of a multi-faceted series, directed by Kojaque (Soft Boy) and Robert Bass (Chamomile Club), further exploring the character of small-town Elvis, Pa ‘The Hips’ Campion (portrayed by Peter McGann), first introduced with ‘The Whistle’ earlier this month.

      Kean states,

“There’s a fascinating phenomenon of small-town Irish Elvis impersonators, which resonates with the Irish connection to Americana that is woven throughout my album. For ‘A Cowboy Song,’ we aimed to learn more about Pa Campion, the man behind the Rhinestones.”
