Cult favorites Getdown Services have revealed that their upcoming EP, ‘Primordial Slot Machine’, will debut on June 6th via Breakfast Records. They've also shared a preview of the new project with their latest single titled ‘Eat Quiche, Sleep, Repeat’. This release builds upon the themes of reflection and introspection explored in their 2024 EP ‘Your Medal’s In The Post’, and it examines how accepting one's adequacy—rather than chasing unrealistic expectations—can prove to be beneficial. “This song addresses the possibility that our bitterness might never fully disappear,” the band explains, noting that the track focuses on “the idea of learning to manage rather than eliminate.” They add: “For much of our lives, we’ve thought that eventually, we’d become joyful and carefree members of society, and this song conveys the acceptance that maybe we won’t, and that’s okay. Perhaps we can be content as we are: happy most of the time but still somewhat miserable.” You can listen to ‘Eat Quiche, Sleep, Repeat’ and check out our Class of 2025 interview with Getdown Services below. 1. Provide Me Your Name
2. Chrysalis
3. James Bay’s Hat
