Panic Shack has announced that their self-titled debut album will be released on July 18 through Brace Yourself Records, having teased the news in March with their comeback single "Gok Wan." This album will follow the four-piece band's 2022 EP "Baby Shack" and promises to explore a range of topics including dating app culture and sexual harassment. The lead track "Girl Band Starter Pack" serves as the album's introduction— a fast and energetic piece of garage-punk that takes its name from the band's previous Spotify "inspiration playlist." Regarding the new single, Panic Shack stated: “It has undergone many transformations but has been with us since the beginning, making it especially meaningful. Not only have we watched it evolve into a certified hit (it was initially named 'Banger Potential'), but it also embodies our friendship and the excitement we share when we're together, whether that's creating, performing, or simply enjoying a coffee... which, as the song hints, often leads to a drink.” You can watch the lively video for "Girl Band Starter Pack," featuring Welsh drag queens Jolene Dover, Bopa Rhys, CiCi, and Lasagne Sheets, below. The tracklist for "Panic Shack" is as follows: 1. Girl Band Starter Pack 2. Gok Wan 3. Lazy 4. Tit School 5. We Need To Talk About Dennis 6. Do Something 7. Personal Best 8. Pockets 9. Unhinged 10. SMELLARAT 11. Thelma & Louise.
