Sam Fender has unveiled a music video for ‘Little Bit Closer’ - a standout track from his recent successful album ‘People Watching’ - featuring Owen Cooper. The young actor is widely recognized for his role as Jamie Miller in the hit Netflix series Adolescence, and this music video marks a reunion with the show’s director, Philip Barantin, for the short film. In the video, Cooper embarks on a camping adventure in the Lake District with friends, reflecting on his faith in God, which aligns with the song’s lyrical themes. “It’s fantastic to collaborate with Phil [Barantini] again,” Fender expressed about the video production, having previously teamed up with him for the visuals of ‘Spit of You’. “I was confident he was the ideal director for this project.” “Phil reached out to tell me he’d asked Owen if he wanted to be in the video, and that Owen was excited about it,” he recounted. “I was thrilled he could be part of it after witnessing his remarkable performance in Adolescence. Together with Semera Khan [Creative Director] and the rest of the cast and crew, they have crafted something wonderful.” You can view the new music video for ‘Little Bit Closer’ here:
