The Detroit electronic trio HiTech, consisting of King Milo, Milf Melly, and 47Chops, has unveiled a new mixtape titled ‘HONEYPAQQ Vol. 1,’ released through Loma Vista Recordings.
Featuring a distinct dance vocabulary—specifically the “Ghettotech” synthetic sound they have cultivated since their debut in 2022—‘HONEYPAQQ Vol. 1’ serves as a vibrant transatlantic showcase, with contributions from artists like DEBBY FRIDAY, Vayda, George Riley, ZelooperZ, and Na-Kel Smith.
This fourteen-track mixtape includes last year's hit ‘SPANK!’ and presents a genre-defying mix of warped soul and syncopated beats that traverse the realms of Detroit techno, Chicago house, and punk. The tracklist transitions from Drexciya-inspired calm atmospheres with melodies that gradually unfold to energetic party anthems that blend both underground and mainstream influences.
This summer, HiTech will tour the UK and Europe with an impressive lineup of live performances and major festival appearances, including Glastonbury, Detroit’s MOVEMENT, All Points East, Latitude, Green Man, Dekmantel, Outlook, FUSION, Roskilde, and more.
Additionally, the trio will offer a limited number of physical copies of their first three mixtapes through https://hitechdetroit.co/.
