Two new tracks from the collective are now available online...
Music collective Africa Express has partnered with Damon Albarn for the new song ‘Soledad’.
This established collective brings together musicians from various disciplines, backgrounds, and countries, with their new album ‘Africa Express presents… Bahidorá’ set for release on July 11th.
Currently, two new songs are available, with ‘Soledad’ and ‘Otim Hop’ highlighting the collaborative essence of the project.
‘Otim Hop’ is an energetic and vibrant track featuring Otim Alpha, Bootie Brown, K.O.G., and Tom Excell.
In contrast, the somber ‘Soledad’ features a poignant vocal performance from Mexican singer-songwriter Luisa Almaguer, who duets with Blur’s Damon Albarn, a long-time supporter of Africa Express.
The lineup on ‘Soledad’ includes some notable names, such as Nick Zinner, Seye Adelekan, Joan as Police Woman, and the Mexican Institute of Sound.
