The self-proclaimed International Rock Sensations, The Hives, are returning with another sneak peek of their upcoming album 'The Hives Forever Forever The Hives.' True to their style, it’s as wonderfully eccentric as one would anticipate. Set for release on August 29 via Play It Again Sam, this will be their seventh studio album, which was first teased in April with the single ‘Enough Is Enough.’ Now, they have unveiled ‘Paint A Picture’—another anthemic track described by the band as being about “persuading both others and oneself that living outside of society is a good idea.” Additionally, ‘Paint A Picture’ comes with a visually striking, pop art-inspired video directed by Filip Nilsson and Henry Moore Selder, who also worked with The Hives on ‘Hate To Say I Told You So,’ where the band appears as animated artwork. You can watch the visualizer showcasing its pointillist, black-lined aesthetic below. Moreover, The Hives are set to embark on what they are calling a series of “state visits” across Europe and the UK this Autumn (essentially a tour), culminating in a major arena performance in their home country of Sweden. Following the successful celebration of their debut album ‘Letter To Self’ with 103 performances last year, the Dublin band Sprints is poised to be one of the standout acts of the 2025 festival season.
