Wet Leg has made a strong return to the music scene with their recent singles 'catch these fists' and 'CPR', and they have now released a new track titled 'davina mccall'—the third preview of their eagerly awaited second album 'moisturizer', set to be released on July 11 via Domino. Temporarily putting aside their characteristic playful attitude, 'davina mccall' portrays an unusually sincere tone, showcasing the band’s softer side and celebrating the joys of love, even if it references everyone's favorite Big Brother host. Founding member Hester Chambers discussed the songwriting process, noting that she started the track with bassist Ellis Durand, while Rhiane Teasdale later contributed to the lyrics and melody: “Ellis and I were really excited, feeling like we were about to complete the puzzle.” You can watch the stop-motion video for 'davina mccall', directed by Chris Hopewell, below. Additionally, Wet Leg has confirmed a performance at London’s Electric Ballroom next month as part of a series of UK shows, followed by more performances across Europe and North America. They have also announced official album release day listening parties at over 180 venues worldwide.
