Olivia Rodrigo performed in Dublin overnight (June 24th) and paid tribute to local band Fontaines D.C.
The American artist is taking her worldwide tour to Europe, with Olivia Rodrigo scheduled to deliver a major performance at Glastonbury this Sunday.
Prior to that, she graced Dublin’s Marlay Park, playing a sold-out concert on June 24th. Olivia is known for including covers in her performances and opted for something with a local touch.
“Recently, I’ve been really into this band Fontaines D.C.,” Rodrigo shared with the audience. “I’ve been playing this song by myself for fun, and I wondered if it would be alright to play it for you.”

Beginning ‘I Love You’ in a heartfelt solo manner, her band gradually builds it into a powerful sound – it’s an impressive cover that remains true to the original while also showcasing her unique style.
