Norwegian pop sensation Sigrid has returned with her latest single, ‘Jellyfish’. This new release marks the beginning of a new chapter for her, as she collaborates once again with her longtime partner Askjell Solstrand to create a bright, sunny track that evokes the wistful nostalgia of early 2000s indie-pop. “This song represents my more free-spirited and joyful side,” Sigrid comments, noting that it was crafted while the cult classic Napoleon Dynamite played in the background. “I aimed for it to feel effortless—like a Scandinavian summer. Flirting can often seem chaotic and silly, but that’s what makes it fun.” “I love using my voice to express my emotions,” she continues, “but with this track, I wanted it to come across as carefree, joyful, and playful—perhaps even a bit nonchalant.” This single arrives during a busy summer for the artist, who released her second album, ‘How To Let Go’, in 2022 and followed it up with ‘The Hype’ EP last year. She is set to perform at various festivals and events throughout Europe. Check out the uplifting video for ‘Jellyfish’ below, and view her upcoming performance schedule beneath the player.
