Daphni maintains his impressive streak with the release of his new single ‘Clap Your Hands’.

Dan Snaith, the producer behind Daphni, had a packed Glastonbury weekend, moving between a Caribou live performance and his solo Daphni projects.

Along with this, he has been busy with a flurry of releases. A recent collaboration with Sofia Kourtesis, titled ‘Unidos’, was followed by the aptly named solo track ‘Sad Piano House’, marking his first significant Daphni release since 2022.

Now, he presents a straightforward directive: ‘Clap Your Hands’.

This club-driven track, featuring heavy percussion, is designed for peak moments, delivering an exhilarating dose of digital energy.

The release is accompanied by visuals from 555-5555, with Daphni sharing his thoughts…

This track represents a shift in vibe from the subtlety of ‘Sad Piano House’... I created this for a performance at Rainbow Disco Club in Japan and have since played it everywhere. I have a collection of unreleased Daphni material ready to go, and I'm allowing what fans are most eager to hear guide the next releases.

It's exciting to know there are people who have experienced it in my sets and are anticipating its release. The concept is straightforward and instinctual – once I had the initial idea, the key was to step back and avoid making it too complex, ensuring it hits hard and maintaining the right timing so that listeners are kept in suspense for the new elements to emerge just long enough.
