Alt-pop artist Georgia returns with "Wanna Play," an energetic track serving as her first release since the 2024 single "Too Much Too Little," which followed her aptly titled 2023 album, "Euphoric." Co-written and produced by Georgia and Mark Ralph (known for work with Years & Years, Daniel Avery, and Hot Chip), she describes the creation of "Wanna Play" as occurring "at a complete crossroads in my life, which is why I stuck with the 160bpm!" She elaborates on her creative process, stating: "It’s a fast tempo punk-electro song, influenced by early Knife tracks and ’80s Depeche Mode bass-lines. It’s really just a bit of fun; I wanted to revisit my passion for synths!" Additionally, "Wanna Play" is released right before Georgia’s performance at the London event AnotherLand next week, where she will be debuting her new live set along with guest DJs. Check out our 2023 interview with Georgia and listen to "Wanna Play" below.
The visualizer extends the theme from his previous single, 'This Song'.
"Apparently, two divas can sometimes cause an explosion."
The band has announced that they will be releasing their second album, ‘From The Pyre,’ later this year.
To mark its release, she will be performing a special headlining concert at The Forge at The Lower Third.
The band has also released the album's lead single, "my mind is a mountain."
This is her first release since the standalone single ‘Too Much Too Little’ was released last year.
