Heavy metal icon and Black Sabbath lead singer Ozzy Osbourne has passed away at the age of 76, just weeks after performing at Villa Park in Birmingham for a memorable farewell concert. The event, named Back To The Beginning, featured many of the biggest stars in rock and metal, including members of Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Smashing Pumpkins, Alice In Chains, Rage Against The Machine, The Rolling Stones, and the original lineup of Black Sabbath. This extraordinary all-day event celebrated the music and legacy of both Sabbath and Ozzy himself. Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019, the self-proclaimed ‘Prince Of Darkness’ organized the show to express his gratitude to the fans who had supported him throughout the years and to the musicians he had inspired, as well as to honor his home city. His family announced his passing last night (22nd July) in a statement that said: "With more sadness than mere words can convey, we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was surrounded by his family and love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis."
