Nadia Kadek has released her new single "Lemonade."
Raised in the Norfolk countryside, she describes herself as a “festival baby,” with early memories of traveling to music events in her family's car.
Influenced by songwriters like Jeff Buckley and Florence + The Machine, she eventually developed her own musical style, embracing a variety of influences to create her unique sound.
Now 22 years old and of British-Indonesian heritage, she has signed with Transgressive and leans into the summer festival spirit with her latest track, "Lemonade."
This upbeat pop song beautifully blends acoustic guitar with Nadia's vocals.
Coming from a deeply personal place, "Lemonade" has a vibrant and catchy essence. She explains, “When I wrote ‘Lemonade’, it reflected my fluctuating relationship with romance and intimacy, and my vulnerability in seeking validation as a substitute for love—a typical university experience. Now, two years later, the song resonates less with my own life, but I see it reflected in many people around me. It celebrates longing, recognizing it as a profoundly human experience. Recording it with big drums and layers of sparkling guitars let my inner child fulfill her dreams of being in an indie band, which was incredible.”
The music video, directed by Georgie Cowan-Turner, captures those summer vibes—check it out now.
