Paramore's lead singer, Hayley Williams, has unveiled a new solo track, which debuted last night (Wednesday, July 23) on WNXP Nashville, a public radio station. The single, titled ‘Mirtazapine’, is an engaging song that captures the fuzzy, carefree vibe of ’90s grunge while maintaining a catchy pop essence. It marks the first solo piece from the Nashville artist since her debut album ‘Petals For Armor’ in 2020 and its 2021 successor ‘Flowers For Vases / descansos’. The song was aired following an Instagram Story from Hayley that directed followers to WNXP's campaign for support after the US Congress recently passed a bill to defund public media. For more details about their situation, visit their Instagram or to contribute, go to wnxp.org/donate. Although fans have been sharing ‘Mirtazapine’ on social media after hearing it on air, it hasn't yet been made available on streaming services. There seems to be some accompanying artwork, which includes the text ‘*Mirtazapine* + Glum / Long live public radio’. The meaning of ‘Glum’ remains unclear, but stay tuned for updates.
