Venna and Leon Thomas collaborate on a new single titled ‘Twisting’.
The UK artist is set to release his new album ‘Malik’ on September 5th, serving as a musical autobiography that encompasses a variety of sonic influences.
The new single ‘Twisting,’ now available, is a transatlantic partnership – firmly rooted in Venna’s UK-based artistry, it connects him with American vocalist Leon Thomas, incorporating elements of Brazilian sound.
‘Twisting’ is a beautifully crafted track, imbued with a subtly pervasive joy at its heart, featuring drumming by Yussef Dayes.
Representing Jenna’s artistic range, the vocals are entirely delivered by Leon Thomas – one of the standout talents in American R&B, who adds a remarkable confidence to the song.
Venna shares…
‘Twisting’ holds special significance for me. It’s a record that embodies my journeys and the various places I’ve visited, including Brazil. While creating the album, I aimed to challenge both myself and the listener with sounds and textures I hadn’t explored before and that might be unfamiliar to the audience.
I also wanted to craft a song that conveyed a sense of movement, and that’s how ‘Twisting’ was born. Initially developed with Yussef Dayes, Marco Bernardis, and Alex Bourt, we were then honored to have the legendary Leon Thomas lend his talents to the track. I’ve been a fan of Leon since I was 16 and his first EP; witnessing his artistic evolution has been wonderful, and it’s a privilege to feature him on the album.
This is one of my favorite tracks from the album – a piece that embodies life, meaning, and movement.
