It will be released on November 14th...
Goth-pop artist Oliver Marson has announced his new EP titled ‘Into The Darkness’.
The intriguing songwriter captivated us with his self-released 2023 project ‘Why Did I Choose This?’, before taking a break to reset and find renewed inspiration.
Set to drop on November 14th, the new EP ‘Into The Darkness’ continues his voyage into fever dream pop, featuring four tracks and guest vocals from Clash favorite Jessica Winter.
The new single ‘Jeremy’ is now available, presenting a fascinating character study that explores themes of the grind mindset, micro-dosing, and the corporate life on the brink of a nervous breakdown.
A portrayal of extremes, it is anchored by Oliver’s exceptional vocals; the accompanying video was crafted by filmmaker Eric J Liddle (Walt Disco, No Windows).
Oliver remarks…
“The song serves as a commentary on the harmful extremes of self-optimization, particularly within the corporate arena. It examines how individuals may attempt to surpass human limitations in pursuit of success, ultimately losing themselves along the way. Drawing inspiration from both real-life accounts and art rock soundscapes, it creates a vivid, empathetic, yet critical depiction of modern disconnection.”
Tune in now.
You can catch Oliver Marson performing at London’s Paper Dress Vintage on November 8th.
