The Antlers will release their new album ‘Blight’ on October 10th.
This upcoming album marks the band's first in four years and was crafted at their own pace, driven by their instincts. The majority of the album was recorded and produced in Peter Silberman’s home studio in upstate New York, situated near a vast hayfield.
In a press statement, he reflects: “Much of the record came to life while I was wandering through these immense fields. It felt like I was exploring a deserted planet.”
Set to be released on October 10th through Transgressive Records, ‘Blight’ is available for pre-order now.
The lead single, ‘Carnage,’ is more polished and radiant than its title might imply, featuring elegant indie songwriting with folk elements.
“‘Carnage’ addresses a type of violence we seldom recognize—violence that stems not from malice but from convenience,” Peter Silberman explains. “Innocent beings are caught up in devastation as their world intersects with ours, and we hardly notice.”
