JEMS! – the joint project of Oakland artist Elujay and Baltimore producer J.Robb – has revealed the deluxe version of their album ‘GEMS IN THE CORNERSTORE II’ from 2024.
Along with this announcement comes the smooth summer track ‘SLIDIN’, which features aspects of their signature sound while elevating Elujay’s vocals for an energetic vibe. This addendum serves as a “thank you” for all the support they’ve received from fans regarding the album.
Born from a long-standing friendship, ‘GEMS IN THE CORNERSTORE II’ showcases the duo in perfect harmony, recognizing where their strengths align and defining the atmosphere they aim to create. Influenced by UK nightlife, the collection reflects the African diaspora that has thrived within the London club scene, as well as their shared Caribbean roots.
Elujay and J.Robb primarily recorded in person during sessions in Los Angeles, Oakland, London, and New York, featuring a range of guests that contribute to the project's lively and global character.
