Khamari Reveals Upcoming Album ‘To Dry A Tear’

Check out the new single 'Lonely in The Jungle'.

Khamari will unveil his second album ‘To Dry A Tear’ on August 22nd.

Originating from Boston and now residing in Los Angeles, Khamari draws from a diverse range of influences including R&B, soul, and alternative rock, inspired by artists like Frank Ocean, Stevie Wonder, D’Angelo, Jeff Buckley, and even filmmaker Christopher Nolan among others.

Growing up immersed in emotionally-charged, jazz-influenced sounds, Khamari infuses that timeless essence into his 11-track album, blended with his distinct R&B-centric twist.

The album includes recent releases ‘Head in a Jar’, ‘Sycamore Tree’, and the newly launched track ‘Lonely In The Jungle’. This latest single introduces a richer sound, characterized by bass guitar, percussion, and a sweeping string melody, contrasting with the more intimate tone of the previous singles.

Regarding the single, Khamari taps into the alt-rock vibe of Jeff Buckley. He comments:

“I drew great inspiration from what Jeff Buckley excelled at—infusing musicality into soulful songs that are fundamentally blues in both structure and emotion. ‘Lonely in the Jungle’ and my first single ‘Head in a Jar’ are two pieces of the same narrative. They reflect the experience of being amidst so much yet still feeling isolated.”
