Almost a year after the release of their debut EP 'Lagos Paris London', Yannis & The Yaw have unveiled a new live album called 'Onstage'. This six-track record features performances from their live shows in Paris and Amsterdam, which took place late last year. It includes several tracks from the EP, written by Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis and the late Afrobeat pioneer Tony Allen. In addition to Yannis, 'Onstage' showcases contributions from EP collaborators Vincent Taurelle and Vincent Taeger, as well as Dave Okumu, Seye Adelekan, and Kit Monteith, who also served as the visual collaborator for the project. Along with tracks from the EP, 'Onstage' includes a cover of Tony Allen’s 'Afrodisco Beat' (from his 1979 album 'Progress, Jealousy') and a new track titled '3'. Digitally released last Friday (August 1), it is already available on streaming platforms and will be released as a double gatefold black vinyl on November 14 through Transgressive Records.
