Cat Burns Reveals Upcoming Album ‘How To Be Human’

Cat Burns will release her new album, 'How To Be Human,' on October 31st, 2025.

The singer-songwriter first gained attention with her Top 10 debut album, 'early twenties,' which showcased her significant growth as an artist. Clash previously interviewed Cat Burns for an intimate cover story, where she shared insights into her inspirations and her artistic goals.

Her upcoming album, 'How To Be Human,' explores themes of heartbreak and loss while also allowing space for joy and healing. Featuring 16 tracks—including recent singles 'All This Love' and 'GIRLS!'—the album will be supported by a seven-date UK headline tour this November.

Cat describes this project as her "comfort album."

"'How To Be Human' reflects on the past year of my life. I faced the loss of a loved one and my first experience of heartbreak simultaneously, and I truly didn't know how I would navigate such overwhelming emotions. Creating this album was my personal and neurodivergent way of working through the grief from losing my Grandad, to whom I was very close—hence, it's my comfort album.

During the process, I realized how much it might resonate with others. Many people experience similar hardships, and I hope it provides them with solace and demonstrates how to rise again."

You can catch Cat Burns performing at All Points East on August 23rd.
