Australia’s emerging pop star Ruel has announced details for his upcoming second album, ‘Kicking My Feet’, set to be released on October 17th via Giant Music. Along with this announcement, the Sydney-born artist has released a lively new single, ‘The Suburbs’ – a track that reflects the emotional richness of the forthcoming project.
‘Kicking My Feet’ embodies a sonically daring and deeply personal essence, fusing elements of pop, alt, and R&B into a unified, contemporary sound. Ruel’s unwavering commitment to quality led him to create over 200 songs before meticulously choosing the final tracks for his next album.
Now at 22, Ruel has grown up in the spotlight, achieving platinum certifications, receiving ARIA Awards, and MTV accolades, while amassing over three billion streams worldwide. He has headlined sold-out tours around the globe and has also made a mark in the fashion industry, collaborating with renowned brands such as Prada and Fendi.
His new single, ‘The Suburbs’, is available now. It evokes themes of young love, self-exploration, and the discomfort of finding one’s identity, resonating with many listeners. He shared:
