Tame Impala will be releasing their new album titled ‘Deadbeat’ later this year.
This project, led by Kevin Parker, made waves with its 2010 debut album ‘Innerspeaker’, which reshaped psych-pop for a new generation. Achieving arena status, Tame Impala took a hiatus after 2020, during which Kevin Parker emerged as a prominent pop producer, collaborating with artists like Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa.
Now Tame Impala is back. This year saw the release of new tracks ‘End Of Summer’ and ‘Loser’, as part of a fresh agreement with major label RCA.
In a conversation with the Guardian this year, Kevin Parker shared that an album is in progress: “It’s not finished yet, but I think it’ll be [finished] soon. I’m really excited about it.”
Thus, the new album is officially named ‘Deadbeat’ and is set to drop on October 17th. Here’s the announcement –
