The K-pop group aespa – KARINA, GISELLE, WINTER, and NINGNING – has released their sixth mini album, ‘Rich Man’, today through SM Entertainment.
This six-track compilation is fronted by the powerful title track ‘Rich Man’, a dark, programmed dance number driven by vibrant guitar riffs and lyrics that emphasize self-preservation.
KARINA explains of the song: “It’s not about material wealth, but about self-confidence and believing in yourself. The opening line says ‘look for someone who can do everything for you’ but that’s YOU. So, I already consider myself a rich man because I trust and love myself.”
The mini-album shifts between atmospheric RnB, light hyper-pop sounds, pop-rock blends, and hip-hop-inspired anthems, showcasing the dynamic vocal harmonies of the quartet.
This release follows aespa’s summer single ‘Dirty Work’, which debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s Global 200 Chart and No. 2 on Billboard’s Global Excl. US Chart, achieving aespa’s highest positions on both charts to date.
Earlier this year, aespa held their second sold-out arena show in London. The K-pop veterans show no signs of slowing, having launched their third world tour last week, which is currently traveling throughout Asia.
