Ethel Cain collaborates with Wicca Phase Springs Eternal on the new single ‘Meet Me Anywhere’.
Available now, this track serves as the final preview of the upcoming album from Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, titled ‘Mossy Oak Shadow’, which is set to release on September 19th.
‘Meet Me Anywhere’, like the rest of the album, was recorded live, with the songwriter partnering with producer/engineer Ben Greenberg (known for his work with Depeche Mode, Drab Majesty, and Show Me The Body).
The minimalistic arrangement, featuring primarily a resonant guitar line and vocals, allows Wicca Phase Springs Eternal to explore emotional authenticity, while Ethel Cain’s beautiful backing vocals elevate ‘Meet Me Anywhere’ to an entirely different level.
“I’ve always felt that as long as I carry the Wicca Phase Springs Eternal name, I can create whatever I desire,” he shares. “The name gives a structure to both the lyrics and the aesthetics of the project—my songwriting infused with a mystical element—and as long as I can produce something fitting within that framework, the genre isn’t of utmost importance.”
