Open’er Festival has announced that legendary goth-rock band The Cure will headline in 2026, performing in Gdynia, Poland, next July. Led by the iconic Robert Smith, the band has released 14 studio albums throughout their 47-year career, with the latest being last year’s eagerly awaited ‘Songs Of A Lost World’ (which reached number 11 on DIY’s Albums of the Year 2024 list). The Cure is the first act revealed for Open’er’s 2026 lineup, but if this summer’s festival—which showcased FKA twigs, Wolf Alice, Nine Inch Nails, and more—is any indication, the rest of next year’s lineup is expected to be equally impressive. Open’er Festival 2026 is scheduled for July 1-4 in Gdynia, Poland. Early bird tickets will be available for purchase at noon local time on October 8; visit here for more information and to secure yours.
