Worn Out Tuesdays' monthly new music celebration will take place at The Sebright Arms (31-35 Coate Street, East London E2 9AG) tomorrow, Tuesday, 7th October 2025, with support from Clash Magazine, Stance, and Venn Records.

**BEATTIE**
Every generation draws inspiration from the past as it carves out its future, and the diverse sounds of the ‘90s are influencing artists across the spectrum. However, emerging singer, songwriter, and producer Beattie approaches this influence from a unique perspective, blending nostalgic sounds into a progressive style characterized by personal lyrics that discuss her generation's concerns.
Beattie makes an immediate impact. Her voice is both graceful and captivating, shifting from a tender vulnerability to an intense, gothic power—a haunting connection between Mazzy Star’s Hope Sandoval and Lana Del Rey. Delve deeper, and you’ll find traces of PJ Harvey and Elliot Smith intertwined with modern alternative influences from artists like Wolf Alice and BANKS. She regards Radiohead as a significant influence on her music, noting their continual evolution while maintaining their core integrity.
Her authenticity shines through in her lyrics. With the candidness of a diary entry, her songs delve into the trials of young adulthood: the possibilities and costs of city living, the slow loss of youthful innocence, and the end of relationships. Yet, Beattie has a talent for conveying these turbulent emotions with eloquent phrasing. These qualities position her as an artist with great potential.
**INDOOR FOXES**
Indoor Foxes, the stage name of Scottish-born singer and songwriter Martha Barr, creates indie rock music described as “Courtney Love meets Paris Hilton vibes; a touch pretty, and very, very loud.”
Indoor Foxes represents an expressive outlet for Martha, who finds inspiration in artists like Wolf Alice, Phoebe Bridgers, Paramore, and Fatherson. For her, Indoor Foxes embodies a cooler and bolder version of herself, stating, “I almost idolize this half-character I have in ‘her’. It feels like wearing my favorite outlandish jacket or a really big pair of stompy boots when I navigate the world as Indoor Foxes.” The name Indoor Foxes was created a few years ago, inspired by an influencer called Feral Creatures. She replaced ‘feral’ with ‘Indoor’ and ‘creatures’ with her favorite animal, the ‘fox’.
**TONGUETIED**
Having spent much of her life feeling held back, music has been a vital outlet for Tonguetied. It allows her to articulate her thoughts and feelings while fostering a deep connection with her audience. Her world is one of honesty and rawness, acting as Garcia’s personal diary.
