Roger Waters Criticizes “Unpleasant” Thom Yorke – “A Timid Little Guy”

      "He became extremely snarky..."

Roger Waters has expressed criticism of the “unpleasant” Thom Yorke, describing the Radiohead vocalist as “a timid little bloke.”

The former Pink Floyd member has been an outspoken advocate for the BDS movement since 2011 and has previously condemned Radiohead's decision to perform in Israel. Specifically, Roger Waters has taken issue with Thom Yorke and fellow band member Jonny Greenwood's viewpoint on the matter.

After their most recent concert in Israel, Thom Yorke remarked: “Performing in a country is not the same as supporting its government. We don’t support Netanyahu any more than Trump.”

During an appearance on The Katie Halper Show over the weekend, the host mentioned Thom Yorke, prompting Roger Waters to initially ask her “not to go there,” though he later changed his stance.

The songwriter commented: “He’s a timid little bloke. I find him to be unpleasant company.”

“I’ve written him many letters, you know,” Roger Waters continued. When the host asked if Thom Yorke had ever replied, it appears those responses may soon be revealed.

Roger Waters explained: “Yes, he did. He responded. It’s all going into my memoir. He got very, very snarky and was trying to be funny.”

Radiohead is not the only band on Roger Waters’ radar; he also referred to U2's lead singer Bono as “a complete prick” at another moment in the interview.
