Canadian synth artist Austra is back with a new release titled ‘Siren Song.’

The singer-songwriter’s forthcoming album ‘Chin Up Buttercup’ will be available on November 14th, and she has announced a series of tour dates in 2026, which includes a stop in the UK at London’s Village Underground on March 23rd.

Extracted from the upcoming album, ‘Siren Song’ blends the ambiance of the X-Files with a hint of Madonna’s trance-inspired track ‘Ray Of Light’—and a touch of ABBA for good measure.

Developed in partnership with Montreal club creator Patrick Holland, ‘Siren Song’ expresses a compelling desire for connection.

This elevated and vibrant electronic pop track features club elements interwoven through a vivid melodic perspective. Austra remarks...

‘Siren Song’ exists at the crossroads of ABBA, Ray of Light, The X-Files, and Greek mythology. ABBA influenced the initial songwriting with Patrick. The Siren emerged during my improvisation on the demo recordings, and I soon recognized that Orpheus would be our shared adversary.

Having just binge-watched The X-Files, I found significant inspiration in Mulder’s frantic quest for his sister. Ray of Light came into play as my co-producer Kieran Adams and I were shaping the sonic landscape that would serve as the backdrop for our Siren to lament her lover's loss to Orpheus and his troublesome Lyre.

A song that "originated from a place of profound introspection..."

Amsterdam artist SABRI shines with her new single ‘Sold Myself For Love.’

The songwriter, who has Algerian-Moroccan roots, was raised in the vibrant city of Amsterdam. This metropolis, known for its historic port, serves as a rich cross-cultural hub, and SABRI matured within its diverse music scene.

Combining alt-soul with hip-hop rhythms, SABRI’s music showcases her emotional depth as she shares her story.

‘Sold Myself For Love’ is now available, showcasing her R&B influences. The track seeks to find strength within her vulnerability, celebrating a raw honesty.

In a captivating performance on A COLORS SHOW, SABRI reflects…

‘Sold Myself For Love’ emerged from a place of profound introspection, where I recognized how I would give myself up to hold onto love. It’s about confronting that reality and learning to regain your power after losing yourself in another person. The song carries both softness and strength, representing the shift from choosing pain to embracing freedom. For me, it encapsulates the beauty and ache of letting go.

Debuting this on COLORS feels incredibly meaningful. Their platform truly captures the authenticity and honesty from which this song was created. It’s the ideal setting to share this new chapter of my music, where vulnerability takes center stage.

Tune in now.
