Seth Troxler Claims His Record Collection Was "Almost Ruined" After Ibiza Floods

Seth Troxler has issued an urgent plea for assistance after heavy floods in Ibiza have “nearly destroyed” his record collection.

The renowned DJ is a passionate vinyl collector and has built an impressive collection. With eclectic tastes, his vinyl room is filled with unique items and rare releases from all over the world.

However, this collection is now at risk. In a recent post on Instagram Stories (via RA), Troxler revealed that the floods caused by Storm Alice have “nearly destroyed” a large portion of his collection.

Approximately 6,000 records have suffered damage, and Seth is urgently seeking help to preserve some of these invaluable items.

“I was just with my wife and some people, trying to clean [the records] and save things, but it’s too emotional,” Troxler expressed. “It’s really affecting me.”

Seth Troxler has welcomed anyone interested on Ibiza to reach out, offering to compensate them for their time.

While the announcement has, naturally, led to some cynical reactions on social media, it’s important to consider the significance of some records in Seth Troxler’s collection. In 2015, when Haçienda resident Dave Hallam decided to sell his records, Seth seized the opportunity to buy Hallam’s entire collection.

At the time, Seth remarked, “As a music fan and collector, the chance to acquire Dave’s records was something that immediately caught my interest. At 30 years old, there’s only so much you can read or hear from friends to truly understand what it was like during the peak of acid house and the Haçienda.”

“It brings me immense joy to discover new music, to hear things I never knew existed from artists forgotten over time. I believe it’s crucial not just to preserve the music but to maintain this collection intact for future generations to enjoy. One of the reasons I acquired this remarkable collection was to facilitate the transition from one working DJ to another; and I aim to present it to audiences worldwide as it was meant to be heard.”
