Having announced last month that their new album will be released next Spring (specifically on March 20, 2026), Gorillaz have now provided another glimpse of what to expect from ‘The Mountain’. The new single ‘The Manifesto’ (featuring Trueno and Proof) is our second preview from the album, following the collaboration with Sparks, ‘The Happy Dictator’. This seven-minute track presents a blend of danceable beats and captivating, Eastern-inspired rhythms, featuring renowned artists Jea Band Jaipur, sarod players, and the LP's own Mountain Choir. Reflecting the album's themes of life, death, and rebirth, ‘The Manifesto’ features Argentine rap star Trueno boldly proclaiming, “I walk toward the light / I have nothing to lose,” while the middle of the track includes an evocative posthumous verse from the late rapper and former Gorillaz collaborator Proof. Drummer Russel Hobbs has reflected, “As space dust we are here forever and that’s a mighty long time. This is a musical meditation infused with light. A journey of the soul, with beats…” Check out the official visualizer for ‘The Manifesto’ below and learn more about Gorillaz's upcoming tour dates here. The tracklist for ‘The Mountain’ includes:
